The Pickle Story....

The art of pickling boasts a venerable legacy, with a history spanning over 4000 years. Crafting pickles at home is an enduring tradition, one that stirs cherished childhood memories for many. It evokes an era when the matriarchs of households would fastidiously select premium ingredients, artfully blend them, and patiently await the perfect outcome. Unfortunately, the artistry of homemade pickling, along with its distinct and unrivaled flavors, faces gradual obsolescence as commercial varieties proliferate.

Raised in a family where pickles held a place of paramount importance at every meal, we were accustomed to an array of pickles adorning our dining table. My grandmother’s pickles, in particular, achieved renown for their exquisite taste.

She acquired her expertise in the art of creating Telangana and Andhra Pickles through a life journey that took her from Amalapuram, Andhra Pradesh, to her marriage in Hyderabad. The recipes were passed down to my mother-in-law, who, in turn, mastered the craft. Ultimately, the tradition found its way to me, Prasanna, the Founder of Pickle Story. For years, we have diligently crafted our homemade pickles, gifting them to friends and family members who reveled in their unique flavors. Their unwavering appreciation and encouragement served as the inspiration behind the birth of Pickle Story.

Prasanna’s culinary prowess extends well beyond her exceptional mango pickles. She has garnered acclaim for her spice powders, notably her Curry Leaf powder, Idly Powder (also known as Molaga Podi), and Idly Karam. These powders encompass 21 distinctive varieties, each a delightful complement to piping hot rice drizzled with ghee. Prasanna’s talents also extend to tomato pickle and Gongura Pachadi, where her skill truly shines.

Over the past three years, Pickle Story has elevated the dining experience of more than 5000 households, both in India and abroad. Our clientele is wonderfully diverse, reaching across the expanse of India and extending to many Indian households in countries such as the USA, Singapore, Australia, Canada, the UK, and Germany.

The time has come to savor the genuine essence of pickles and powders, using recipes that have been lovingly handed down through generations. It is our steadfast commitment not to employ any artificial preservatives or colors.
